The Sunday Telegraph Animal Walk

Goats - mother and baby (kid)Everyone loves the farm animals, and the Sunday Telegraph Animal Walk is an easy to follow route that stitches together the Show’s animal highlights.

Start at the corner of Channel 9 Grand Parade and Orana Parade – where you might even see Harry the Dog in costume – and follow Harry’s blue paw prints on a journey of discovery through the fascinating world of farm and domestic animals.

Along the way you’ll have a chance for some amazing animal encounters. Milk a cow in the Dairy Farmers Milking Barn, hear some tales from a shearer’s life from Ian and Jim while they clip a sheep, check out the cute and cuddly chicks, pink piglets, ducks, lambs and rabbits in the Dairy Farmers Farmyard Nursery and admire the pampered pets in the Domestic Animals pavilion.

As well as great hands-on experience, this is also a rewarding educational experience that makes learning a painless experience for curious young minds.
